About the speaker

Aditi Varma works as an Assistant Director in the Western Australian Government’s energy policy agency. After studying Public Policy and Management on a scholarship at Carnegie Mellon University – Australia in 2009, she moved to Perth to start her career in the energy sector first as a consumer advocate and then quickly progressing to senior levels within the industry.

Prior to that, she worked in New Delhi, India as a social researcher on public health and early childhood education matters.

Aditi was the President of Sife, now Enactus at Carnegie Mellon and led the University’s team to semi-finals at the 2010 Sife conference in Melbourne.

In Perth, she co-founded Women in Energy, a networking group that connects, inspires and supports women in the energy industry, and served as the inaugural treasurer from 2014-2016 and then chair from 2017-2019.
