A graduate of the Information Technology Management program, Megan is a Product Manager for Google’s flagship products including Google Maps, Google Meet, Gmail and more. She will provide insights at the next exciting Red Ladders event on what it’s like to work for a global brand and the many dynamic aspects of Product Management.
About the speaker
With over 10 years experience, Megan Boundey is a Product Manager with an international career. She began her PM career at Oracle in Silicon Valley, USA, where she worked as a PM in both Oracle PeopleSoft and Oracle E-Business Suite. Her move back to Australia saw her working for Google in Sydney, where she was the PM for Google Maps Mobile APIs (iOS and Android).
She then took up the opportunity to work on Google Meet in Stockholm, followed by moving to Zurich to work on smart features in Gmail, such as the smart compose subject suggestions and the new spelling & grammar. She’s currently still based in Zurich, working as a PM on Shopping on Search. Her experience covers both consumer and enterprise and includes APIs, creating user experiences for web, mobile, & and the meeting room, improving back end quality, and using machine learning to support features.
Musical and creative, she is also a soprano, and enjoys singing in choirs & venues around the world (when there is no covid!). Megan grew up in beautiful Adelaide and can’t wait for the day when she can visit home again.
