Gary joined Carnegie Mellon University Australia in 2014 and has played an integral role in managing CMU-A's information technology systems ever since. Gary has helped build, customise and maintain the university's IT infrastructure, mentored CMU interns with software development projects and re-engineered many other web systems. He also helps tune and configure audio and visual equipment used for recording and video conferencing and supports students, faculty and staff with troubleshooting.
Before joining CMU-A, Gary honed his IT skills working at the South Australian Country Fire Service (CFS) and Hunan University of TCM. He is also a graduate of CMU-A, and completed his Master's Degree in Information Technology in 2019. In addition to this, Gary holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science) from Shanxi University of Science and Technology. When he's not in CMU-A's Innovation Lab, Gary can be found on the badminton court or getting off the beaten track and exploring Australia's breath-taking landscape in his four-wheel drive.
