James Gaetjens has decades of experience in applied Statistics and related fields, including business performance, evaluation and actuarial analyses. He was the Statistician for ReturnToWorkSA (formerly known as WorkCover SA), where he worked between 1995 and 2017. Prior to that, he worked for the Australian Bureau of Statistics between 1986 and 1995.
James has also taught statistics on a part-time basis for over 15 years, as course coordinator, lecturer and tutor. He has taught students from diverse backgrounds and disciplines, including undergraduate and postgraduate students studying Business and Commerce, Marketing, Engineering, Health, Public Policy and Management. He has taught in South Australia at the University of South Australia, University of Adelaide, Flinders University and Carnegie Mellon University. He also taught and coordinated a statistics course in Hong Kong for several years, at Hong Kong Baptist University.
