William WM Tan is an experienced coach, trainer, and consultant in the field of Agile and Project Management, with over 25 years’ experience in the industry. He has extensive working and project management experience in several multinational companies, including Nortel, Intel, and Motorola. In Motorola, he led the Project Manager Office and managed hardware and software RND and NPI projects for two-way walkie-talkie customers worldwide, contributing to additional revenue of >$100M annually. In the USB days in Intel, he and his team developed the customer specifications for the world first USB microcontroller.
William graduated from University of Canterbury, New Zealand and National University of Singapore, with a First Class Honours degree in Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronics) and Master of Engineering (Telecommunications) in 1991 and 1994, respectively.
He is the author of the Project Management book, titled “Project Management: A Practical Step-By-Step Guide” and published one of the first USB books, “Developing USB PC Peripherals” which outline key steps in developing USB devices.
Today, William continues his passion and leads the PMO AUS to provide Agile, Scrum and Project Management training, coaching and consulting services to companies and individuals in Australia and New Zealand.
