Student Exchange Program
Our student exchange program offers you the unique opportunity to study courses from our world-ranked Masters programs in Adelaide, Australia.
The combination of studying an American curriculum in Australia allows you to gain a truly international educational and cultural experience which will enhance your career and personal successes.
Offered as a one or two study period program, starting in January or August each year, you will be amongst a culturally diverse student and faculty body from over 28 different countries and be able to take course credit back to your postgraduate program in your home country.
What Will I Study?
Carnegie Mellon University Australia offers you courses from our Master programs in Information Technology and Public Policy & Management.
You may choose a minimum of 36 and maximum of 48 units per trimester. Courses are valued at either 6 or 12 units and may require you to have studied prerequisite courses.

You could be eligible for a place in our student exchange program. Before applying, check to see if you are studying at one of our student exchange partner institutions.
Credit for Your Studies
You will need to negotiate with your home institution before you come to Carnegie Mellon to ensure the classes you take in Adelaide will be transferable to your home institution and count toward your graduation requirements.
At the end of your studies we will mail a transcript to your home institution or directly to you so that you can have your credits transferred appropriately.
